The North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners has reportedly filed a lawsuit against DentalWorks alleging that the Ohio based company, which has 150 locations nationwide, had used intimidation tactics to pressure dentists into recommending unnecessary treatments to patients in order to boost profits. According to reports, dentists of the company allege that they were given financial incentives and threats of malpractice lawsuits to pressure them to diagnose gum disease in healthy clients and recommend veneers to those who didn't need them.
